DEM Seeking Feedback on Methodology Improvements to the Rhode Island GHG Inventory's 1990 Baseline
Listening Session Being Held on October 2nd with Comments due by 4PM on October 6th

Join staff from the Department of Environmental Management (DEM) on Monday, October 2nd at 11 AM to learn about proposed methodology improvements to the Rhode Island Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory's 1990 baseline. DEM is proposing to further align the inventory with national and international reporting guidelines. The 1990 baseline is a critical dataset used to benchmark Rhode Island's progress towards the emission reduction mandates outlined in 2021 Act on Climate (R.I. General Laws § 42-6.2-2). At this time, DEM is seeking comments regarding the application of the proposed improvements to the 1990 baseline. A listening session (virtual) on the proposed improvements will be held on Monday, October 2nd from 11AM-noon via Zoom. Please join to hear about the proposed improvements and provide feedback.
