The Office of Air Resources<https://dem.ri.gov/environmental-protection-bureau/air-resources-oar > invites the public to comment on the draft Fugitive Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Natural Gas Systems<https://dem.ri.gov/sites/g/files/xkgbur861/files/2025-04/natural-gas-systems-white-paper%20v2.6.pdf > white paper, which proposes a new methodology for calculating carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) leaks from natural gas infrastructure for the Rhode Island Greenhouse Gas Inventory. Comments are due by April 22, 2025, and can be submitted directly to:
