The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) and leaseholder PRI X today are announcing that they are offering a request for proposals (RFP) to redevelop the five-acre parcels of land in Galilee now occupied by the Lighthouse Inn. DEM is committed to redevelop the site in a way that meets the needs and interests of the commercial fishing fleet, Town of Narragansett, and State of Rhode Island. Galilee is the core of RI's commercial fishing and seafood industries, which between them support more than 4,000 jobs and more than $400 million in economic impact.
