[DEM-Coastal] Whale weak line mitigation program

Attention Lobster and Jonah Crab Fishery Participants Weak Line Mitigation Plan Applicants Weak line and links requested as part of the Whale weak line mitigation program are currently arriving in staggered weekly shipments. Due to the nature of delivery, the Division of Marine Fisheries and Coastal Resources will be filling line requests based on the order of contact with Department staff. Starting Wednesday, February 9, 2022, all approved applicants are asked to contact Olivia Chatowsky at the DEM, Division of Coastal Resources at (401)515-7406, olivia.chatowsky at dem.ri.gov<mailto:olivia.chatowsky at dem.ri.gov<mailto:olivia.chatowsky at dem.ri.gov%3cmailto:olivia.chatowsky at dem.ri.gov>>, to make an appointment for weak line pickup and the location at which you would like to receive your rope. Weak links have are still being manufactured but we will send out another listserve for pickup when we have them.
