Attention Berth Holders: Improvement dredge project in the Port of Galilee
Good afternoon,
The prime contractor of this project is Coastline Consulting Development, LLC and Patriot Marine is the subcontractor. This project consists of the improvement dredging of Point Judith Pond and Harbor of Refuge Federal Navigation Project to remove approximately 30,300 cubic yards of dredged material by widening the existing West Bulkhead Channel by dredging to a required depth of -15 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) plus two-feet over depth to -17 feet MLLW, and extending the existing West Bulkhead Channel by dredging to a required depth of -11 feet MLLW plus one-foot over depth to -12 feet MLLW. The dredge material will be removed mechanically, loaded onto scows, and towed to and disposed of in unconfined waters at the Matunuck nearshore disposal site. The Matunuck Nearshore Disposal Site is approximately 3.5 miles west of the work site in nearshore waters off the coast of South Kingstown, Rhode Island.
The contractor is planning to start the work 9 December 2022 and complete by last week of January.
I've attached public notice and I'll send another email to confirm the date as we get closer. Any questions please reach out to me or Port Manager Dan Costa.
