<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">The Division of Coastal Resources has received a number of complaints about maggots located on the southside of the shipyard in Newport. Under no circumstance should bait or residue
from bait barrels be dumped off the pier at any time . Please refrain from this type of activity and refer to Coastal Resources regulations regarding dumping and storage of bait.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt">1.8 Use of Piers (Section Z) and (Section EE).</span></b><span style="font-size:12.0pt"> <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><i><u>Z<span style="background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow">. Dumping of garbage, oil, refuse, fish offal, or other substances in public<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow">considered cause for immediate revocation of a berth contract</span></u></i><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">.
Waste oil from<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">fishing vessels shall be properly disposed of in the designated waste oil<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">collection tanks. Used filters shall only be properly disposed of in the provided<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">collection barrels. The collection areas shall be kept clean, free of debris, and oil<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">spills shall be immediately reported to the Division</span><o:p></o:p></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">EE. Storage of bait at either facility is only permitted in compliance with the following<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">restrictions:<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">1. Storage of unrefrigerated bait must be in sound barrels, i.e. plastic barrels,<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">without leaks and with tight fitting lids;<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">2. All unrefrigerated bait must be salted down, covered or preserved.<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">3. Maggot infested bait will be removed from the pier by the Division and<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">disposed of immediately;<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">4. Division staff has the right to inspect barrels stored on the State piers and<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">order the immediate removal of bait which they deem to be in<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">noncompliance with these Regulations or otherwise offensive. Such an<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">obligation is recognized as a condition of tenancy.<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">5. Bait barrels shall not be handled in such a manner as to result in spilling of<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><i><u><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">bait or juices on any asphalt surface on State piers or surrounding State<o:p></o:p></span></u></i></p>
