[DEM-Pier9] 2023 whelk pot tags & lobster trap tags

Please be advised that order forms for 2023 whelk pot tags and lobster trap tags are now available (attached).

IMPORTANT! YOU MUST RENEW YOUR LICENSE PRIOR TO ORDERING YOUR TAGS! Please note that the new licensing system in effect for 2023 eliminates the Commercial Fishing License (CFL) and Principal Effort License (PEL) license types.  Upon renewal of your license, a new "Standard" license with corresponding new license acronym and number will be assigned that will replace the CFL or PEL license.  DO NOT USE YOUR PREVIOUS CFL/PEL LICENSE NUMBER WHEN ORDERING TAGS!

Orders may be submitted at this time, however processing will not begin until January 2023.  Order early! Allow for ten (10) weeks processing time to receive your tags.  New tags must be affixed to all pots/traps as follows:


  *   Whelk pots:  April 1, 2023
  *   Lobster pots (federal permits):  May 1, 2023
  *   Lobster pots (state licenses):  June 1, 2023
