Hello all,
In an effort to limit the number of people using the state piers parking we are requiring that ALL the captains come and fill out the necessary form prior to crew. We will not be issuing a parking pass to any individual who has not been added to a captains parking pass form. We will be holding a parking pass day in February, exact date to be determined. I am in the Office most weekdays from 830-400. Forms are available in the office on the green counter to the left of the door.

                As a reminder:

  * NO EXTENDED PARKING is allowed in loading/unloading areas, fire lanes, or along the path of travel around the port. Especially when vessels are out for trips.
  * Fire lanes are to kept clear and free of all debris, as we have had a fire recently, the Newport Fire Marshal asked to keep all bulkheads and access to boats as clear as possible.
  * The West Bulkhead is for IMMEDIATE loading and unloading only. If there is an issue with a vessel, Mechanical or otherwise, yours or others, that is berthed there please let us know ASAP so we can address the situation.
  * The small south bulkhead by the office is limited to a 4 hour tie up at one time Per Regulation 1.8 Use of Piers Section FF

FF. A section of the South-Facing Bulkhead located between the skiff dock and first

(1st) backdown slip at State pier #9, Port of Newport will be designated for short-
term vessel use.

1. Short-term storage of gear in this area is restricted to twenty-four (24)
hours. Authorized uses are loading and unloading pots and fishing gear,
running out cables, minor welding, carpentry, outfitting, and engine repair,
electrical equipment repair, net repairs (for no longer than four (4) hours),
loading/unloading bait barrels, and fueling of vessels provided said fueling
operations do not occur adjacent to welding or other potential fire hazards.
2. The operator of any vessel using the above described bulkhead service
area shall ensure that the area employed is clean and in good repair prior
to vacating the area.
3. Any vessel which does not possess a valid berth contract is prohibited
from using the above described bulkhead service area without the prior
written approval of the Division and payment of the transient rate for the
use of the pier.

Any Questions or concerns please reach out to me and we can get things resolved.
Very Respectfully,
