[DEM-Pier9] Fire hydrant and fire lane parking-Pier-9

Good morning,

A captain for the Newport Fire Department was recently down at Pier-9 and came across some issues around the fire hydrants and fire lane parking. Under no circumstance should any commercial related fishing gear be stored around the two (2) yellow fire hydrants located on the pier. These fire hydrants must always remain visible.

All vehicles assigned to Pier-9 should be parked in the parking spaces on the pier and not in the fire lanes. If you need to drop something off or pick something up from your vessel you may temporarily park in a fire lane, but just a reminder that fire lane parking is enforced by DEM Law Enforcement.

Lastly, all berth holders should have a valid 2023 parking sticker. If you do not have one, please see Assistant Superintendent Rob Baker at your earliest convenience.
