From dem-pier9 at listserve.ri.gov Tue Dec 9 11:30:32 2025 From: dem-pier9 at listserve.ri.gov (DEM-Pier9) Date: Tue, 9 Dec 2025 16:30:32 +0000 Subject: [DEM-Pier9] Winter Water Message-ID: Morning all, As a reminder as the days are cold and colder. ALL HOSES MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE FROST PROOF HYDRANTS AFTER EVERY USE. This is to prevent the hydrants from freezing and causing all water to be turned off till the spring. If the hoses are left on the hydrant it doesn't allow them to drain properly and will create major problems. The water on the L-pier is turned off for the season. It will be turned on again in the spring. Please remove all hoses from spigots as one hose fitting at the spigot has already broken from being frozen.
