RE-ISSUANCE OF RIPDES CONSTRUCTION GENERAL PERMIT



The 2020 RIPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharge Associated with Construction Activity (Construction General Permit or "CGP") is in effect as of September 26, 2020, with an expiration date of September 25, 2025.



No action is required for existing permit holders to maintain authorization.



No substantive changes were made to the 2020 CGP from the previous version; several minor updates and clarifications to permit language were made to provide permit clarity and in order to conform with the current version of the EPA’s 2017 Construction General Permit. A public comment period was held from July 27, to September 11, 2020, during which no substantive comments were received. A public hearing was not requested during this time and therefore no public hearing was held.
