[Owtsinfo] Attention OWTS Professionals: DEM Enforcement Actions

Attention OWTS Professionals:

If you have a client that is submitting a construction permit application to the DEM OWTS Program for review and approval in response to a DEM Office of Compliance & Inspection enforcement action, please adhere to the following:


  1.  Indicate the DEM Office of Compliance and Inspection file number on the OWTS construction permit application. In the "RIDEM Application History" section there is a new space on the form that states "OCI File # If Applicable ______________". Please list the enforcement action case number here. (Example: File No. OWTS-18-89)


  1.  Please also, notify the DEM Office of Compliance and Inspection directly once the construction permit application has been submitted. Notification should be made to Stephen Tyrrell, Supervising Environmental Scientist, RI DEM Office of Compliance and Inspection, 235 Promenade Street, Providence, RI 02908. Email: Stephen.tyrrell at dem.ri.gov<mailto:Stephen.tyrrell at dem.ri.gov>; Phone: 401.222.1360.

Providing this information will allow for better coordination between the DEM programs and will result in a quicker resolution of enforcement actions which will directly benefit your customers.
