[Owtsinfo] OWTS A/E Technology Approvals Renewed - MicroFAST & Bioclere

[Onsite Wastewater Treatment System]

Attention OWTS Professionals:

The DEM OWTS Program has recently renewed the following OWTS A/E Technology Certifications:


MicroFAST (Waste Strength Reduction and TN Removal)
A Class One Approval was issued on October 8, 2019 for MicroFAST for the reduction of Total Nitrogen to ≤19 mg/l, TSS≤30 mg/l, BOD≤30 mg/l, and O&G≤5 mg/L. The RIDEM recognizes the Technology as a Category 2 Technology as defined in the OWTS Rules. This approval is limited to residential applications only with a maximum design flow of ≤900 GPD.

This approval is for the following MicroFAST models only:              MicroFAST 0.5 (500 GPD)
MicroFAST 0.625 (625 GPD)
MicroFAST 0.75 (750GPD)
MicroFAST 0.9 (900GPD)


MicroFAST (Waste Strength Reduction Only)
A Class One Approval was issued on October 8, 2019 for MicroFAST for the reduction of TSS≤30 mg/l, BOD≤30 mg/l, and O&G≤5 mg/L. The RIDEM recognizes the Technology as a Category 2 Technology as defined in the OWTS Rules. This approval is for residential and commercial applications. All residential designs with design flows of ≥700 GPD and all commercial designs require Vendor approval of the design prior to submitting an OWTS Construction Permit Application to the DEM for review.

This approval is for the following MicroFAST models only:              MicroFAST 0.5 (500 GPD)
MicroFAST 0.625 (625 GPD)
MicroFAST 0.75 (750 GPD)
MicroFAST 0.9 (900 GPD)
MicroFAST 1.5 (1500 GPD)
MicroFAST 3.0 (3000 GPD)
MicroFAST 4.5 (4500 GPD)
MicroFAST 9.0 (9000 GPD)


Bioclere (Waste Strength Reduction and TN Removal)
A Class Two Approval was issued on November 1, 2019 for Bioclere for the reduction of Total Nitrogen to ≤19 mg/l, TSS≤30 mg/l, BOD≤30 mg/l, and O&G≤5 mg/L. The RIDEM recognizes the Technology as a Category 2 Technology as defined in the OWTS Rules. All residential and commercial designs require Vendor approval of the design prior to submitting an OWTS Construction Permit Application to the DEM for review.

This approval is for the following Bioclere models only:                   Bioclere - 16 Series
Bioclere - 24 Series
Bioclere - 30 Series
Bioclere - 36 Series
