Reminder - free PPE webinar being hosted today by NEIWPCC.

“PPE Considerations for Wastewater Operators and Collection System Staff,” a free webinar, will be led by Mike Jennings, Senior Program Manager in NEIWPCC’s Wastewater and Onsite Systems Division, this Thursday, May 7th from 2:00–3:30.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) awareness and availability is the latest development for wastewater operators trying to do their jobs while staying safe during this pandemic. On Thursday, NEIWPCC will hold an informational webinar to review what equipment and practices operators should utilize to keep themselves, their coworkers, and their families safe.

NEIWPCC is keeping abreast of the latest information on COVID-19 and continues to be a space for water quality professionals to convene and collaborate on the new water, wastewater, and environmental science challenges that are arising during this time.

Topics to be covered include:
·    the latest information from the CDC,
·    what we know about survivability of similar viruses in water and wastewater,
·    PPE considerations for various work tasks at treatment plants and in the collection system.
