[Owtsinfo] Updates to the RIDEM OWTS A/E Technology List - Singulair 960, Singulair DN, and GST

[Onsite Wastewater Treatment System]

Norweco Singulair 960 (Waste Strength Reduction) and Norweco Singulair DN (Waste Strength and Nitrogen Reduction) Certification Renewals
Both the Norweco Singulair 960 and Norweco Singulair DN A/E Technology certifications were renewed on May 24, 2022. In addition to revised certifications, a Design manual, Installation manual, and O&M manual are now available online for both technologies.


GST Leaching Systems Certification Revision
The GST Leaching Systems Certification has been revised to reference an updated Design Manual and Installation and Operation Manual to clarify a point of confusion. The intent of the original technology approval for GST was to allow for a 2 ft separation to the SHWT and 4ft to ledge statewide if the system was preceded by an advanced pretreatment system with waste strength reduction coupled with pressure distribution. The approved RI manuals in their previous form only indicated that advanced pretreatment was required to allow for the 2ft and 4ft separation distances but this was an error of omission. The revised certification provides for the approval of updated manuals that indicate that both conditions must be satisfied if the 2ft and 4ft separation distances are to be allowed (i.e. advanced pretreatment and pressure distribution).
