On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, RIDEM will be offering the third workshop in a series regarding the New Freshwater Wetlands Rules (referenced as 250-RICR-150-15-3) that will take full effect on July 1, 2022.  This workshop will be held as a Zoom Webinar. The workshop is tailored to persons involved in the wetlands permitting process including applicants, design professionals, and consultants.  The agenda for this workshop will include:

·         New or revised exemptions

·         Infill standards

·         Variances (Part II)

·         Municipal coordination

RIDEM encourages the submittal of questions in advance of the workshops in order to tailor the content of presentations to address the common issues being raised.



The new RIDEM Freshwater Wetlands Rules Training and Guidance materials website<http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/water/permits/pn-wetland-guidance.php> has launched!  After each workshop, the materials (PowerPoint slides, Question & Answer document, and video recording) will be posted here.  Additional guidance documents and resources will be added to this website as they are developed.
