Bill (BIL), the CWSRF will be receiving approximately $79 million of additional funding for projects, including $3 million to address emerging contaminants, over the next five years. In addition, the combination of BIL and significant increases for the base

<span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif; color:black">In addition to wastewater infrastructure projects, RIDEM is interested in increasing participation by entities planning projects related to stormwater pollution abatement, green
infrastructure, non-point source pollution abatement, and climate resiliency, as well as projects that benefit disadvantaged communities. RIDEM currently expects updated federal guidance on the funding requirements to be made available by the US Environmental
Protection Agency in February 2022. As guidance is released, RIDEM and RIIB will make more information available on the new requirements and the resources and support that will be available, including for disadvantaged communities to access CWSRF funding.
