Please be aware of a public hearing on October 17th, 5 pm at DEM, Room 300, 235 Promenade Street, Providence pertaining to amended Rules and Regulations for the Enforcement of the Farm, Forest and Open Space Act.  These amendments are primarily for the purpose of incorporating dual use standards and provisions (renewable energy and agriculture) pursuant to legislation which passed in 2017.   Please note that a public hearing was held on an earlier draft of these regulations in November, 2017, but the rules had to be withdrawn and the process started anew in order to be reflective of fire code regulations.
