The group focuses on providing support for the LUTC's training program, and is led by Grow Smart RI and the Division of Statewide Planning.

In addition to many topical training programs funded by the Division of Statewide Planning, the Land Use Training Collaborative's main output is its core workshops: "Writing Sound Decisions," "Conducting Effective Land Use Reviews," and the in-development "Citizen Planning 101." Led by planners and land use attorneys, these three-hour interactive workshops are meant primarily as primers for planning and zoning board members, as well as planners, council members, historic district commission members, etc.

Enjoy talking shop as much as we do? The LUTC seeks planners and attorneys with experience in land use willing to volunteer their time in providing these critical workshops. Attorneys with municipal experience are especially encouraged to get involved.
