Hi Everyone,

Please see below for a message from member Robert Richards, MS, LMHC, LCDP, representing Bryant University's Counseling Services. Before you view the message, I wanted to let everyone know it appears there was a security block that didn't allow RIHESPAG members to post to the listserv (hence why I am sharing this for Robert) so my apologies to anyone who tried to post a message and were blocked from doing so. I wanted to pass along a free online resource our office recently came across.

The "Columbia Light House Project." It provides, among other things, assessment & psychoeducation tools for a variety of settings, including college.

The website has forms that are downloadable, and can be used in both assessment of risk and training w/ community members.
Here's a blurb from their website:
The Columbia Lighthouse Project provides versions of the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) for use in community and healthcare settings. These are places where individuals and teams have the access and opportunity to systematically assess risk and save lives. Examples include:

  *   First response agencies, such as police and fire departments
  *   Healthcare facilities
  *   Military installations
  *   Colleges and schools
  *   Correctional facilities
You do not need special permission from us to take the C-SSRS tools and use them in your setting, create your own unique triage next steps, or embed the C-SSRS in your electronic health record keeping systems (EHR).
