[Rimarinefisheries] LCMA 2 Lobster Trap Allocation reductions

To all Lobster permit holders,

Please be advised that ALL LCMA 2 Lobster Trap Allocations are being
reduced by 25% and ALL LCMA 3 Lobster Trap Allocations are being reduced
by 5% as required by the ASMFC Fishery Management Plan for Lobster for
the 2016 fishing year.  If you intend to replace trap allocation lost to
this years reduction, both State and Federal Lobster Trap Allocation
holders need to complete trap transfers this year for traps intended to
be fished in 2016.

 

The deadline for submitting an application for Lobster Trap Allocation
transfers for the 2016 fishing year for ALL Federal Lobster Permit
holders is September 30, 2015 and the deadline for submitting an
application for Lobster Trap Allocation transfers for the 2016 fishing
year for ALL Rhode Island State Only Lobster License holders is November
30, 2015.
