[Rimarinefisheries] LCMA 2 and 3 Lobster Trap Allocation reductions

To all State and Federal Lobster Trap Allocation holders,

Please be advised that all LCMA 2 and LCMA 3 Lobster Trap Allocations are being reduced by 5% as required by the ASMFC Fishery Management Plan for American Lobster for the 2017 fishing year (June 1, 2017 - May 31, 2018).  If you intend to replace trap allocation lost to this year's reduction, Lobster Trap Allocation holders need to complete trap transfers this year for traps intended to be fished beginning June 1, 2017.

For Federal Lobster Permit holders, the open application period is August 1 - September 30, 2016.  Federal lobster trap transfer applications can be found at:

For Rhode Island State Only Lobster License holders, the open application period is June 1 - November 30, 2016.  State lobster trap transfer applications can be found at:
