[Rimarinefisheries] REMINDER: Two ways to obtain certification through RI’s new Shellfish Harvester Education & Certification Program

As a reminder, please be advised that there are two ways to obtain certification through RI’s new Shellfish Harvester Education & Certification Program.  One is to take the 30-minute online tutorial, which is available here: https://www.ri.gov/dem/training/shellfish/

The other is to attend a group session (at which the same tutorial will be shown).  Two sessions will be held next week.  Details are provided below.  There is no need to pre-register.  Additional group sessions may be conducted, as needed.


  1.  Monday, January 22 at 6 pm

Warwick Public Library, Large Meeting Room, 600 Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI



  1.  Thursday, January 25 at 6 pm

Bristol Maritime Center, 127 Thames St., Bristol, RI
Certification is mandatory for everyone who commercially harvests and lands shellfish in RI.
