[Rimarinefisheries] Coast Guard Port Access Route Study

[RI Marine Fisheries]

In order to provide safe access routes for the movement of vessel traffic offshore of the Massachusetts and Rhode Island area the Coast Guard is conducting a Massachusetts and Rhode Island Port Access Route Study (MARIPARS) to evaluate the need for establishing vessel routing measures. The information gathered during this MARIPARS may result in the establishment of one or more vessel routing measures.


There will be a public meeting on Tuesday April 23, 2019 from 6 - 9 p.m. at Corless Auditorium (Watkins Laboratory Building), University of Rhode Island, Graduate School of Oceanography at 215 South Ferry Road, Narragansett, RI 02882-1197. Public comments will be accepted at this meeting.


Comments can also be submitted in writing through the Federal Register. Comments are due 5/28/2019.
