NOTICE



Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota


  1.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, March 24, 2019, the commercial possession limit for Black sea bass will be 850 pounds per vessel per week, until the next sub-period begins on May 1, 2019, at 50 pounds per vessel per day.



  1.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, March 31, 2018, the commercial possession limit for the Summer Flounder Aggregate Landing program will be 4,000 pounds per vessel per bi-week, until the program closes on April 30, 2019.


Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.  Current commercial possession limits can be found by calling (401) 423-1920, or visiting the Marine Fisheries webpage at http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/fish-wildlife/marine-fisheries/mfsizes.php.
