[Rimarinefisheries] CARES Act Fishery Disaster Assistance Program - Update

[RI Marine Fisheries]

Hello. This is an update for interested parties on what is happening with the RI CARES Act Fishery Disaster Assistance Program spend plan process.
RI submitted its draft spend plan for an initial review by NOAA two weeks ago and received our first round of feedback on Tuesday the 18th. We are now working through those edits so that we can officially submit our plan for approval by NOAA. Additionally, we have begun to develop the accompanying regulatory package.
We intend on having an update workshop and a review of the regulatory package within the next two weeks.
The RIDEM had received several inquiries on this topic, so this update is meant to assure interested parties that the application period has not started yet as we are still in the approval phase for RI's spend plan.
Thank you for your attention and we will follow up soon with a public meeting to discuss the current state of our process.
