NOTICE

Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota

  1.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, August 30, 2020, the commercial Tautog fishery will close, until the next sub-period begins on October 15, 2020 at 10 (ten) fish per vessel per day.
  2.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, August 30, 2020, the commercial possession limit for Scup General Category will be 20,000 (twenty thousand) pounds per vessel per week, until the further notice.



Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.  Current commercial possession limits can be found by calling (401) 423-1920, or visiting the Marine Fisheries webpage at http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/marine-fisheries/mfsizes.php.
