Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota



  1.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, January 19, 2020, the commercial possession limit for the Summer flounder Aggregate Landing Program will be two thousand (2,000) pounds per vessel per bi-week (two week period).  Please note that the weekly period dates as specified on the permit are now modified to bi-weekly period dates as follows:



January 19 through February 1;

February 2 through February 15;

February 16 through February 29;

March 1 through March 14;

March 15 through March 28;

March 29 through April 11;

April 12 through April 25;

April 26 through April 30.

Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.  Current commercial possession limits can be found by calling (401) 423-1920, or visiting the Marine Fisheries webpage at http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/marine-fisheries/mfsizes.php.
