Consolidated Appropriations Act -- Fisheries Assistance Program ​(CAAFAP)

Informational Meeting – April 28, 2021, 5:00 pm



On March 29, 2021, NOAA Fisheries announced the allocation of an additional $255 million in fisheries assistance funding for coastal states provided by the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021. The funding will support activities previously authorized under Sec. 12005 of the CARES Act. It will be allocated to states and territories with coastal and marine fishery participants who have been negatively affected by COVID-19.



The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management is holding a virtual meeting on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 5:00 PM to introduce the funding program and seek input from stakeholders on elements of the Rhode Island spend plan. The meeting will be held virtually using Zoom. The meeting can be accessed by clicking the Zoom meeting link below at the start of the meeting or calling into the meeting using the below number and passcode. For those unable to attend, the meeting will be recorded and available on the RIDEM Division of Marine Fisheries’ website thereafter for viewing.
