NOTICE

Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota

  1.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, July 18, 2021, the commercial possession limit for Black sea bass will be fifty (50) pounds per vessel per day, until the next sub-period begins August 16, 2021 @ 50 pounds per vessel per day.
  2.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, July 18, 2021, the commercial possession limit for Summer Flounder will be one hundred fifty (150) pounds per vessel per day, until the next sub-period begins September 16, 2021 @ one hundred (100) pounds per vessel per day.



Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.  Current commercial possession limits can be found by calling (401) 423-1920, or visiting the Marine Fisheries webpage at http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/marine-fisheries/mfsizes.php.
