NOTICE

Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota


  1.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, March 14, 2021, the commercial possession limit for Black sea bass will be two thousand (2,000) pounds per vessel per week, until the next sub-period begins May 1, 2021 @ 100 pounds per vessel per day.
  2.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, March 14, 2021, the possession limit for the Summer flounder Aggregate Landing program will be four thousand five hundred  (4,500) pounds per vessel per bi-week, until the program closes on April 30, 2021.

Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.  Current commercial possession limits can be found by calling (401) 423-1920, or visiting the Marine Fisheries webpage at http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/marine-fisheries/mfsizes.php.
