Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota



1.    Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, July 24, 2022, the commercial possession limit for Summer Flounder will be four hundred (400) pounds per vessel per day for vessels with a Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate, until the next sub-period begins September 16, 2022 at 100 pounds per vessel per day.



For vessels without a Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate, the commercial possession limit for Summer Flounder will remain at two hundred (200) pounds per vessel per day, until the next sub-period begins September 16, 2022 at 100 pounds per vessel per day.

For Pilot Aggregate Program participants, this possession limit change corresponds to two-thousand eight hundred (2,800) pounds per vessel per week, until the next sub-period begins on September 16, 2022 at seven hundred (700) pounds per vessel per week.


Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.
