David I'm not a big fan of that last line, you're getting into that slippery slope where your stuff is addressing our stuff. Though I appreciate your efforts to reduce any confusion. Defer to you on the hotline recording. If you think would help, perhaps we should send a listserve now just for Prov River, follow up with GB after rule is filed?

Subject: Shellfish Hotline - Providence River closure message

HI Pete,
FYI that I got a few more phone calls from commercial folks asking if Prov River will be open on 11/2 for commercial harvest - confusion on Rec vs Comm schedules. So, I just changed the shellfish closure recording to try to clear some of that up' The text is below:

This is RI DEM with a pollution related Conditional Area and emergency shellfish closure update.
Lower Providence River Area E and Greenwich Bay are currently closed and scheduled to reopen at NOON on November 2nd. Reminder that the next commercial harvest in the Providence River is scheduled for the week of December 12th 2022.

Pls let me know if you see any problems w/ this recording (need to keep the recording brief).
Thanks!
D
