Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota



1.    Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, October 16, 2022, the commercial possession limit for Black Sea Bass will remain at two hundred (200) pounds per vessel per day, until the next sub-period begins January 1, 2023 at seven hundred fifty (750) pounds per vessel per week.  For pilot aggregate program participants, the possession limit remains at one thousand (1,000) pounds per vessel per week.


Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.  Current commercial possession limits can be found by calling (401) 423-1920, or visiting the Marine Fisheries webpage at http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/marine-fisheries/mfsizes.php.
