[Rimarinefisheries] 2024 Providence River Shellfish Management Area (Area "E") Commercial Shellfish Harvest Schedule

[RI Marine Fisheries]

Please be advised the most recent regulatory filing for Part 4 – Shellfish<https://rules.sos.ri.gov/Regulations/part/250-90-00-4?reg_id=13091> removes the previously filed 2024 commercial harvest schedule for the Providence River Shellfish Management Area (Area “E”) through April 2024. As such, there are no days open to harvest from January through April 2024 in Area E at this time.  It is anticipated that the summer 2024 schedule for this area will by brought to the Shellfish Advisory Panel and RI Marine Fisheries Council in early April 2024, with regulations filed again effective in time for the first summer opening.  Please see the attached Directors decision memo for a full description and explanation of the rules filed.
