[Rimarinefisheries] Proposed Regulation Amendments - Notice of Public Hearing

PUBLIC NOTICE
PROPOSED REGULATION AMENDMENTS
Please be advised that the Division of Marine Fisheries has publicly noticed the following regulation(s) to consider proposed amendments:

1.       Part 1 – Definitions and General Provisions:<https://rules.sos.ri.gov/Promulgations/Part/250-90-00-1>  Proposed addition, removal, and amendment to terms in Definition of Terms section consistent with terms as found in RI General Laws Chapter 20-2.1; addition of species to Common Species section consistent with regulations Part 3 “Finfish”; other minor non-substantive clarifications
2.       Part 3 - Finfish:<https://rules.sos.ri.gov/Promulgations/Part/250-90-00-3>
·         Proposed amendments to recreational black sea bass management;
·         Proposed amendments to recreational scup management;
·         Proposed amendments to commercial striped bass general category management;
·         Proposed amendments to commercial menhaden management;
·         Other minor non-substantive changes
3.      Part 7 – Dealers:<https://rules.sos.ri.gov/Promulgations/Part/250-90-00-7>  Proposed amendments regarding frequency of required dealer reporting of striped bass landings.
4.      Part 12 - Research Pilot Aggregate Program:<https://rules.sos.ri.gov/Promulgations/Part/250-90-00-12>  Proposed amendment to term of program (in conjunction with item # 6).
5.      Part 14 – Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate Program:<https://rules.sos.ri.gov/Promulgations/Part/250-90-00-14>  Proposed amendment to increase the maximum daily possession limit from 200 pounds per vessel per day to 300 pounds per vessel per day for vessels that do not hold a Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate.
6.      Part 23 - Aggregate Program for Summer Flounder and Black Sea Bass:<https://rules.sos.ri.gov/Promulgations/part/250-90-00-23>  Proposed new rule adoption (in conjunction with item #4).  Details provided in summary document
