Vineyard Wind Scour Protection Activities

Beginning on or about the 14th of March 2023 and ending on or about the 17th March 2023, the vessel FLINTSTONE will be working within the wind development area to place a filter layer of stone consisting of 1 to 3 inch stones at approximately 17 locations where turbines will be installed.  The 17 locations are provided below.

Until the areas are marked on the NOAA chart and the wind turbine foundations are installed later in 2023 it is recommended that the area be avoided by any vessels dragging gear on the bottom. There will be no surface marking of the scour protection locations.

During this operation, the F/V FLEET KING or F/V TORBAY will remain on site, weather permitting, to assist mariners in navigating in the vicinity of the operations.

All vessels will be standing by on VHF channel 13 & 16.
