NOTICE - Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota


  1.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, March 26, 2023, the possession limit for the Summer flounder Aggregate Landing Program will be eight thousand five hundred (8,500) pounds per vessel per bi-week (permitted vessels only); until further notice
  2.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, March 26, 2023, the possession limit for the Black Sea Bass will be seven hundred fifty (750) pounds per vessel per week (permitted vessels only); until the next sub period begins on May 1, 2023 at fifty (50) pounds per vessel per day

Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.  Current commercial possession limits can be found by calling (401) 423-1920, or visiting the Marine Fisheries webpage at http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/marine-fisheries/mfsizes.php.
