NOTICE - Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota

  1.  Beginning 12:00AM on Friday, September 8, 2023, the commercial Black Sea Bass fishery will close, until the next sub-period begins September 16, 2023 at one hundred (100) pounds per vessel per day; the commercial Black Sea Bass fishery for permitted Summer/Fall Aggregate Program participants will close until the next sub-period begins September 16 at five hundred (500) pounds per vessel per week.
Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.  Current commercial possession limits can be found by calling (401) 423-1920, or visiting the Marine Fisheries webpage here<https://dem.ri.gov/natural-resources-bureau/marine-fisheries/marine-fisheries-minimum-sizes-possession-limits>.
