MEETING NOTICE - REGULATORY WORKSHOP

Please be advised the DEM Division of Marine Fisheries will be holding a regulatory workshop on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, 4:30pm to solicit input regarding prospective amendments to the marine fisheries regulations, as follows:


AGENDA

1.      Part 2 – Commercial Marine Fishing Licenses, Landing Permits, and Party and Charter Licenses:

  *   Exit:entry ratio for Unlimited Finfish endorsement
  *   Exit:entry ratios for Unlimited Shellfish endorsement
  *   Dockside sales endorsement

2.         Part 6 – General Equipment Provisions:

     *   Commercial netting prohibition in upper Pt. Judith pond
     *   Fixed gear prohibition in the Foster Cove channel and the narrows of Charlestown Pond
     *   Commercial netting prohibition in the upper narrows of the Narrow River
     *   Pot and buoy requirements (to be addressed in a following regulatory cycle)

3.         Part 7 – Dealers:
·         Authorized species for Direct Sales Dealer license
