[Ritaxpronews] Rhode Island Division of Taxation -- Filing season update

Hi, Everyone.
 
The Rhode Island Division of Taxation has just posted a filing season update. Among the highlights:
 
The total amount of refunds issued so far is about $93 million, up 3 percent.
The average refund is $567, up about 5 percent.
About 234,000 returns have been processed so far, up 6 percent.
 
The update also includes information about the corporate income tax filing deadline, some new forms for businesses, a new regulation for commercial farms, and a new project involving historic tax credits.
