[Ritaxpronews] Rhode Island Division of Taxation -- Security Summit warns of fraud

The Rhode Island Division of Taxation, the Internal Revenue Service, and other members of the Security Summit warned tax professionals this afternoon about a new round of online fraud.

Cybercriminals are using emails posing as potential clients, or as tax agencies, to trick tax practitioners into disclosing sensitive information, the Security Summit warned.
