Friends of the Moshassuck partners with the National Park Service



On Tuesday October 4 at 6PM Friends of the Moshassuck and the National Park
Service will presernt a program on Menhaden in the Upper Reaches of
Narraagansett Bay at the Visitors Center at the Roger Williams National
Memorial in Providence.  Greg Gerritt,  Watershed Steward for Friends of the
Moshassuck and the force behind the Moshassuckcritters video project, and
John McNiff, Park Ranger at the Roger Williams National Memorial will
conduct a short walking tour to see fish in the Moshassuck River along Canal
Street, followed by videos of menhaden in the river and a discussion about
the biology and the relationship between people and menhaden over time at
the upper end of the Narragansett Bay Estuary.  The public is invited to
this free program

The Roger Williams National Memorial Visitors Center is located at 282 North
Main St  at the corner of Smith and North Main Streets, just down the hill
from the Statehouse and across Canal St from the Moshasuck River.
