Good afternoon,

The first round of public meetings for the draft Technical Report - "State of Narragansett Bay and its Watershed - Technical Report" generated important feedback. To encourage additional comments from the public, the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program will be accepting comments through May 22, 2017 and has scheduled two additional public meetings<http://nbep.org/01/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Public-Meeting-Notice_followup.pdf>, one in Rhode Island and one in Massachusetts, as follows:

  * The Rhode Island public meeting will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 starting at 4:00 PM until end of comments and will be held in room 280C at the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management headquarters, located at 235 Promenade Street, Providence, RI 02908.

  * The Massachusetts public meeting will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 starting at 4:00 PM until end of comments and will be held at Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District, located at 88 Broadway, Taunton, MA 02780.

The Narragansett Bay Estuary Program has uploaded the individual chapters of the Technical Report through the Estuary Program's website: http://nbep.org/the-state-of-our-watershed/technicalreport/. At these meetings, the Estuary Program will provide an overview of the Technical Report and there will be an opportunity for questions and comments. The Estuary Program will also be accepting public comments until the close of business on May 22, 2017. Comments on the technical report may be submitted to the Estuary Program by emailing comments to: info at nbep.org. Use of the Word tools for "track changes" and "insert comment" are preferred.

The Estuary Program will revise and finalize the Technical Report and prepare a summary report based on public feedback. For additional information regarding this report, please contact the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program.
