RIDEM seeking summer water quality monitoring interns in Providence, RI
(see attached)
Calling all recent or soon-to-be graduates interested in water quality monitoring and ecological field surveys in surface waters. Job may include calibrating sampling equipment, obtaining field samples, and delivering samples to the analytical laboratory; making and recording field measurements and observations; Assisting in field assessment of freshwater wetlands and marina pump out facilities; Assisting in compiling and entering environmental monitoring data into electronic databases; and other duties as required.
Required Qualifications for Appointment: Must have swimming experience
Supplemental Information: Experience with canoeing, kayaking or light watercraft is desirable
Hourly: $17.50 per hour, no benefits nor housing
