SNEP Restoration Capital Mini-Grants – Apply Now!


SNEP Restoration Capital Mini-Grants is a new, one-time funding opportunity available through a partnership between the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 1, and Restore America’s Estuaries (RAE).



This program will fund purchases of equipment and supplies for use by eligible organizations in advancing the goals of the SNEP Strategic Plan: clean water, healthy ecosystems and sustainable communities in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.



Requests may range from $1000 to $10,000 and must be used exclusively for direct purchase of equipment or supplies. Eligible organizations include municipalities, non-profit organizations, tribes, state agencies, regional planning organizations, and academic institutions. Land trusts and land management organizations are generally eligible. Individuals, private companies and federal agencies are not eligible.

Applications will be accepted beginning January 29. Application review will begin on March 3 and awards will be made on a rolling basis while funds are available. All purchases must be complete, and reimbursement requests submitted to RAE, by May 31, 2025.



SNEP 2025 Restoration Capital Mini-Grants are separate from SNEP Watershed Implementation Grants. Our annual SWIG announcement will be available in late February, 2025.



Funds are limited; therefore, those who submit applications early will have the best chance of receiving awards.
