WRWC is looking to hire a full-time Community Action Director and a part-time Nuestros Bosques Program Coordinator.

Community Action Director (FT):

The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) Community Action Director (CAD) is responsible for integrating watershed residents into all aspects of WRWC programming, with a special focus on black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) residents. The CAD helps ensure that WRWC is a welcoming place for all the community members we serve. The CAD also coordinates all Community Action Programs. These Community Action Programs are focused on building climate preparedness and leadership among residents of Olneyville, a neighborhood of Providence through which the Woonasquatucket River runs and is on the front lines of a range of environmental justice issues.

This is a senior level oversight, administrative, and capacity-oriented position. Much of the work involves supporting a robust, community-oriented team.

Nuestros Bosques (NB) Program Coordinator (PT):

WRWC seeks candidates who are fully bilingual Spanish & English language speakers who have been directly impacted by environmental injustices for the NB Program Coordinator position. This position will provide much needed administrative, organizational, and logistical support across project components and tasks, in collaboration with community tree practitioners, staff and partners. The Program Coordinator will work closely with other staff to facilitate sustained progress toward program objectives and will ensure cohort members are meeting program expectations and having their needs met.
