<p class="MsoNormal">The DEM Office of Water Resources has prepared a Draft update of the RI Nonpoint Source Management Plan that is available for review. DEM is required by EPA to update our Nonpoint Source Management Program Plan in order to continue to
receive federal funding for the State’s Nonpoint Source Program. The Draft 2019 update of the Plan is posted on the DEM website at:

<p class="MsoNormal">The RI Nonpoint Source Program supports efforts by DEM and its many partners in water quality and aquatic habitat monitoring, assessment, planning and the implementation of protection and restoration activities. The Plan provides updated
strategies, actions and milestones for the Program over the next five years. A significant portion of the federal funds DEM receives for this Program are distributed to municipalities, watershed groups and other organizations for protection and restoration
projects.<o:p></o:p></p>
