<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">All governments and public organizations must provide facilities and programs that are universally accessible by people of all ages and abilities. In practice, this means that not only must the rest rooms
in town hall be fully handicap accessible and all public areas have designated handicap parking that meet all design requirements, but that all of the programs and spaces supported with public funding must be accessible.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#201F1E">To assist in this goal, DEM is offering a workshop in partnership with the Rhode Island Governor’s Commission on Disabilities to bring more awareness to the Americans
with Disabilities Act (the "ADA") and your responsibilities and requirements as a current or potential grant recipient of DEM outdoor recreation and trails grants. A virtual training has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 27
</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">from 9:30am to 12pm. </span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#201F1E">The training will include a presentation with representatives from the Rhode Island Governor's Commission on Disabilities and the regional
