[Airresources] 2017 DERA State Grant Opportunity - Application Deadline: Nov. 27, 2017

U.S. EPA allocates funds to states and territories for the establishment of grant, rebate and loan programs promoting clean diesel.
In Rhode Island, the Department of Environmental Management- Office of Air Resources (OAR) has targeted grants on replacing large, older diesel engines<https://www.pca.state.mn.us/air/awarded-dera-grants> that spew a lot of pollution. Changing even one of them to a newer, cleaner-burning model can be the same as taking thousands of cars off the road. FY2017 funds ($224,000) will be available to provide grants for projects that reduce diesel emissions. Projects must be completed by August 31, 2018.
Please find the attached letter and application to participate. Grant proposals must be submitted to Allison.Callahan at dem.ri.gov<mailto:Allison.Callahan at dem.ri.gov>, with the subject line '2017 DERA State Grant', no later than November 27, 2017.
